Message from God about Homelessness

This is not poems about the homeless, homeless people poems, homeless poems, poems about homeless people, poems about being homeless, nor poems for homeless people. This is spiritual message from God for the homeless : "There's an appointed time!"

God said he has an appointed time to bless me with a dwelling place to lay my head. Unfortunately, He didn't not tell me He would place me in a home today! If you are homeless or know someone else who is without their own dwelling place. Please let them know that God said He will bless them with a home at His appointed time!

Sometimes when we are going through a difficult period in our lives we need help at that very moment. But just because we need help right now doesn't mean God will coming running to our rescue. I found out the hard way that God sends help or rescues us at His time and now ours. I wrote the following poem because I was in despair about my life.
"God when are You going to allow me to see the promised land? I have been wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. I pray You will allow me to cross the Jordan soon!"

                                               An Appointed Time

Once upon a time, but not so long ago,
I was homeless on the streets with no place to go.
I was without food and shelter and was completely broke.
I applied for all types of jobs, but they took my applications as a joke.
Just common necessities were the thing I lacked,
I even applied for public assistance but the government turned its back...
I got very discouraged my motivation died--
I got tired of rejections and all my applications being denied.
I thought the Lord had abandoned me to battle my problems on my own,
I thought He cursed me for all the things I have done wrong.
Despair became my best friend, my life was at its’ worst,
but I kept the frame of mind to keep God first. Then I prayed:
“O Lord, foxes have holes and birds have nests but I don’t have any place that I can relax and rest. My heart has become filled with resentment and hate, I’m in total despair, my problems have become too great!”
“Behold are thy problems too difficult to be fixed by the Lord? I shall slay thy problems with the edge of My sword! I shall increase thy faith this very day,  thy problems and despair shall soon go away. Thou shall be abundantly blessed for sure,  I shall be by your side and help you endure. At an appointed time, you shall be bless with an estate, I assure you that it will not be a very long wait. Until that time, thou shall continue to seek My face, indeed, there's great comfort in My Grace!”

                 Inspirational and Spiritual Poetry

We all need inspiration and encouragement. Sometimes just a kind word can be a blessing and it can help us get  through our darkness hour!! During those struggling times, I try to find some inspiring words to share and comfort. A good encouraging word can turn someones life around.

"He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted and proclaim LIBERTY to the captives."
Isaiah 61:1

                                  My Testimony

I was born and raised in Detroit MI. I grew up in an unstable home. My father physically and mentally abused my mother. His abusiveness had an adverse effect on me as well as my siblings. It caused homelessness and a lot of mental anguish. It also caused a great deal of hardship and grief.

As a result, I did not attend school regularly. I developed a leaning disability. I did not like going to school. I could not read and comprehend like other kids in elementary. I struggled though middle school and eventually dropped out in the 9th grade.

I did not get involved in any criminal activity during this time, but I wasn’t doing anything constructive with my life either. I was not interested in sports or anything else that would make my life better.

I began smoking marijuana at around sixteen years old. I tried alcohol, but didn’t like the taste or the feeling of being drunk. So I stuck with smoking weed until I meet crack in 1984.

My life quickly grew out of control. I lied, cheated, and stole to support my crack habit. My only purpose in life was to get high. I lost friends and family members trust and respect. Getting high was all that mattered to me.

At twenty-seven, I committed my first felony that lead me to prison. It was one of the worse experience s of my life. I was completely lost and did not know or understand just how serious things were.

As result of my insanity, I went to prison several more times. My last visit was indeed the lowliest and darkest periods in my life. I lost all hope about myself. Despair became my best friend as I sit in the cold jail cell. I thought of ways to end my life because I did not want to go through the pain and suffering anymore. But at my lowest moment, something happened. The Lord came and touched my heart and gave me a reason to continue on.

Today, I use my experience to help inspire and uplift others. I want my poems to glory God and give encouragement and inspiration to the "Brokenhearted"
